Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Turbo Machined Products seeks shipping and receiving clerk. First Shift. 7:00-3:30 pm. Fast paced job with growng company. TMP located in Frankfort, NY specializes in aerospace and power generation manufacturing airfoils – blades, vanes, blisks and turbines.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk will work closely with production and quality to recieive and ship all product using our computer software system Epicor. Will maintain incoming material logs, shipping logs and inventories of goods. Must drive forklift and occationally make delvieries.

Shipping and Receiving clerk Primary Duties:

• Ship and receive all product through software system;
• Operator Forklift to load and unload trucks. ;
• Follow Good Manufacturing and Good Document Practices at all times including completion of job routers/ cards;
• Ensure safe working practices are carried out to minimize risks to the job holder and/or colleagues, including identifying and reporting Safety, Health & Environmental issues;
• Achieve set productivity targets and identify ways of improving productivity;
• Record all activities in a timely manner on the job tracking system;
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities;
• Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to the Supervisor, participating in the resolution as required;
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within work area;
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor;

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to operate forklift;
• Ability to obtain the knowledge to use the software Epicor;
• Ability to use visually inspect product as it is ging out and when it comes in.
• Effective at planning, prioritizing and organizing tasks and activities;
• Attention to detail and ability to perform repeatable task over a prolonged period of time;
• Positive attitude, reliable, a team player and ability to get along with others;
• Ability to identify problems and escalate as required

Qualification Requirements Educational/Training Requirement:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED);
• Associates degree/certificate.

Experience:

• Minimum one-year experience of working in a manufacturing / machine shop environment;
• Aerospace, Power Generation or Medical Device manufacturing desired;
