The position of Shelter Attendant will support all COVID related shelter operations in the Sacramento area. This operational and service oriented position will address day-to-day client and facility needs during their shift. This includes and is not limited to client meal distribution, on-site monitoring of clients, and the initial point of contact for non-medical client needs.
- Support shelter daily operations ensuring clients are safe and taken care of.
- Assist with meal distribution and any miscellaneous client needs.
- Monitor clients when they are onsite.
- Maintain constant communication with Shelter Supervisors of any client, facility or site issues that need to be addressed.
- Support regular trash collection and disposal in common spaces. Collect individual client trash from safe area outside client trailers.
- Follow all shelter safety protocols and use required PPE. Communicate any safety or compliance issues to Shelter Supervisor.
- Attend any trainings and meetings as required.
- Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality laws.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with all City of Sacramento, County of Sacramento, CDC, Department of Health, Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley Northern Nevada policies, CARF standards, and safety and security regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
