SENIOR MEDIA MANAGER

We are looking for a highly driven employee who is keen to grow with our company. You must be self-motivated, able to work independently and under close direction, comfortable working under tight deadlines, and flexible to work extended hours and weekends as needed. This role will be responsible for the daily management of our shared media server for remote post production and preparing projects for other team members.

Our Senior Media Manager will be tasked with ingesting new footage, metadata tagging the newly ingested footage, maintaining system backups, archiving older footage/projects, and helping to keep our remote workflow running smoothly.

The position will be located in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Salary: $65k - $80k DOE

Responsibilities may include:

• Logging, archiving, organizing footage and other tasks related to Post Production
• Overseeing media storage server system
• Creating media management best practices for remote video team
• Designing and implementing future additions to the server ecosystem
• Troubleshooting IT issues
• Develop footage archival strategies
• Maintain and plan system redundancy
• Main point of contact for remote workflow vendors
• Transcribing videos and features
• Helping with office duties including errands/runs/deliveries
• Working weekends when an edit or shoot requires ingesting
• Understands encoding, transcoding, aspect ratios, PAL vs. NTSC, and various frame rates.
• Ability to work within Television guidelines (QC)
• Oversee junior media manager

Ideal candidate:

• Background or experience in post production
• Strong understanding of Adobe Premiere
• Understanding of Information Technology
• Should be organized and technical
• Understanding of media storage systems

Desired, but not essential:

• Tennis knowledge and other general sports knowledge a plus
• Prior experience working with a media server systems
• Ability to cut down and reformat finals edits
• Ability to speak Spanish or French

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
