As symplr's Senior Designer/Art Director, you'll work directly with the Creative Director to help shape and craft a new and refreshing branding approach to the growing symplr brand on creative narratives that are approachable, memorable, modern, and fun!
You'll devise campaign approaches - across brand, growth, product marketing. You'll execute sophisticated visual deliverables for a variety of mediums. You'll speak to different audiences (e.g., enterprise consumers or business partners).
Together, we'll evolve a strategic approach to narrative messaging, refine the brand's visuals, and define our team's role in helping symplr communicate in new ways to our audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and iterate compelling visual storytelling to generate thoughtful ideas, compelling narratives, and scalable concepts.
- Produce best-in-class branded visuals that are unique, cohesive, and beautiful - for use in assets across multiple mediums and channels.
- Design beautiful deliverables like digital layouts & advertising, social media posts, web banners, email marketing design, web landing pages, brochures and digital collateral, trade show graphics, with light video and animation
- Execute the highest quality of design throughout all phases of the process - sketching, refining working design prototypes, and final production.
- Participate in brainstorms and critiques with genuine interest in finding the best solution for engaging new and existing our audiences.
- Ensure that every brief meets business goals and creative standards.
- Ensure a consistent and cohesive brand language by collaborating across departments (Creative, Marketing, Product).
- Ability to define, establish, and explain various design standards used in high quality visuals.
- Mentor and inspire junior creatives when needed.
- Stay connected to the latest standards and trends in the design field.
Skills Required:
Strong pre-visualization skills (e.g., wireframes, motion theory) and skills executing in digital mediums (web, video, occasional motion)- Understanding of current best practices in digital design, loose awareness of standards like CSS, Javascript, HTML, and front-end development, and familiarity and comfort working within UX constraints
- Digital marketing background a plus (e.g., performance metrics and digital platforms)
- Startup experience a plus: fluid, faced-paced environment, with ability to multitask within a day
- Easy and positive collaborator across departments, contractors, and agencies
- Flexible but pragmatic, detail-oriented when necessary

- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Advertising (or related field)
- 2-5 years design experience, working on professional creative teams, with firsthand experience producing digital assets (e.g., landing pages, web banners, social media posts, email marketing, animation)
- Strong background in performance marketing, paid social, digital banners, and direct response advertising design
- Online portfolio demonstrating a solutions-based approach to innovative and inspired ideas and design with several examples of firsthand digital assets
- Relevant knowledge of current trends in typography, photography, illustration, video
- Advanced knowledge of relevant software (Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
Pay
$70,000 - $100,000
