POSITION SUMMARY

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Statewide Administrative Services Manager. Subject to management approval, this position will direct, manage, and coordinate the statewide Administrative Services Program for the Department, including leasing, facilities management, security, vehicle services, property control, printing services, mailroom and supply services, records management, and telecommunications. The position will oversee lease management and contractual lease agreement policies, methods, and procedures and evaluate and develop long-range planning for the agency’s office and storage space needs. This position provides a great opportunity for someone with a background in administrative services who is interested in managing supportive functions for the Department of Children and Family Services. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. As Statewide Administrative Services Manager, directs, manages, and coordinates the statewide Administrative Services Program for the Department, including leasing, facilities management, security, vehicle services, property control, printing services, mailroom and supply services, records management, and telecommunications

2. Provides high level oversight of the statewide development and control of telecommunications, facilities, security, records management, vehicles, mail room, print shop, and leasing programs

3. Advises the Chief of Staff and Executive Staff regarding initiatives, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations relating to Administrative Services programs

4. Serves as full line supervisor of subordinate supervisory staff

5. Serves as the Department’s chief representative to CMS regarding leasing and other administrative services issues

6. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of college

2. Requires four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. 4 years of experience managing an administrative services operation in a public or business organization

2.4 years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization

3. 4 years of professional experience in the oversight of a large program with multiple sites or multiple teams of subordinate professional staff

4. 4 years of professional experience conducting long-range planning for facility needs

5. 4 years of professional experience in lease management in a public or business organization

6. 4 years of professional experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in a public or business organization

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

1. Requires the ability to pass a background check

2. Requires possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to travel
