The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records
- Supporting the collection and billing functions of patient accounting within the department.
- Assist with the collection of old and current AR.
- Provide excellent patient-customer service.
- Make outbound calls to patients in an attempt to collect open balances.
- Notify customers with high balances and mail past-due notices.
- Review and reconcile patient ledger and balances.
- Be familiar with EOBs and Insurance correspondence.
- Follow up status of the payment.
- Itemize and print courtesy statements for patients.
Qualifications
- Can start immediately
- Some billing experience is preferred, as candidates should know how to read an EOB (explanation of benefits)
- Compassionate, understanding, and patient-centric
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred data entry skills and typing of 40wpm.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
