Job Description
The IT Security Specialist III will assist in the development and delivery of SAP security solutions across various SAP applications to ensure Albemarle application data is appropriately protected from either internal or external misuse. This includes design and implementation of SAP security roles, segregation of duties (SOD) analysis, and user provisioning solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs, develops and maintains the company’s SAP user management and security architecture across SAP environments. This includes hands-on role design and build across a number of complex SAP applications and databases. Primary applications are S/4 HANA, GRC, BW/BOBJ, MDG, TM, GTS, and Fiori.
- Analyze & understand the risks associated with application security exposures and provide solutions to eliminate or reduce these exposures.
- Maintain and monitor compliance with the SAP IT security framework and global IT control environment
- Commitment to upholding government and corporate security guidelines including segregation of duties (SOD), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and various privacy related standards such as GDPR.
- Develop and implement SAP security policies, processes, architecture, training, and communications. This function includes identifying and implementing security solutions and proactively remediating vulnerabilities with existing solutions.
- Responsible for working with the solution architects and the business process owners to translate business requirements into a SAP security design.
- Assist in periodic control activities such as regular review of user access, critical role review, and annual IT control testing support.
- Monitor and maintain SAP user IDs across non-production and production landscapes
- Develop and deliver documentation and training as needed to ensure proper system usage and understanding
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong understanding of information security management principles, SAP application security implementation methodologies, and SAP user and role management tools (i.e., CUA and/or IDM)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP GRC Access Control
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP security across various applications including but not limited to S/4 HANA, ECC, BW, MDG, TM, GTS, Fiori, PI, and Solution Manager.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP security development lifecycle management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with SOD conflict resolution
- Understanding of SAP Cloud security
- Good working experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge in HANA database role configuration and user administration
- Experience in chemical manufacturing industry
- Future-focused and willingness to embrace new SAP technologies
- Familiar with an international and multi-cultural environment
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related scientific application
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Fluent in English
- Spanish / German / Chinese would be beneficial but not required
