Historic strip club on downtown San Francisco is seeking a Floor Host/Door person to add to our team.

This is a tipped position! Employees of strip clubs benefit greatly from the tipping culture within.

Required

-Tuesday-Friday Availability preferred
-Experienced in security

-Must adhere to dress code. Either black slacks, black shoes and a uniform shirt, or a suit.
Desired
-1 year of security experience
-A track record of consistent work history
-Certified guard cars preferred but not required
-Experience in bars, night clubs, or strip clubs would be preferred but not required.
-Must be comfortable working around nudity.
-Must be mature about interactions with the dancers and ensure that the backstage is a safe place free of sexual harassment.

Job Responsibilities
-Ensure clients follow all safety standards.
-Educate clients on any violations, but do so in a way that is as customer friendly focused as possible.
-Under direction of management, escorting clients off site who have made serious or repeat violations.
-Providing warm and friendly customer service and helping maintain our welcoming vibe.
-On busy nights, assisting dancers with picking up dollars from the stage.
-Walking dancers to their cars at the end of the shift.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Communication: Security often work the door and must talk to people, ask for ID and take cover charge. In addition, they will need to talk to unruly patrons and possibly communicate with police if an altercation happens.
• Decision Making: Security need to be able to determine what to do quickly before a situation gets out of control.
• Honesty: Security must be trusted by their employer not to allow underage people into the club, or to let someone who is getting out of control stay on premises.
• Observation Skills: Security need to be on the lookout for trouble, be able to see false identification, and generally be aware of their surroundings.
• Strength: If a physical altercation happens, bouncers need to be able to break up fights and physically eject people from the building or restrain them until the police can arrive.

Security person needs two things more than anything else: PATIENCE and a SENSE OF HUMOR. Patience is key when dealing with language barriers, intoxicated Patrons, people who have been ejected, or people you won’t let in. It is important that you learn how to defuse heated situations, without getting personally involved.
