We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and have been providing care to Yolo County residents since 1972. Like other community health centers, we provide care to anyone that walks through our doors and are located in all major cities within Yolo County (Davis, Woodland and West Sacramento) and provide services throughout Yolo County. The community health center movement was born out of the civil rights movement in the 1960s with the mission to provide healthcare in communities where there are few or no options for care. - Starting pay within this range will vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The pay range for this position is:
- ASW/AMFT/APCC: $64,480-$73,500 annually
- LCSW/LMFT/LPCC: $76,500-$85,000 annually
- May be eligible for annual 2% + 0-2% merit-based pay adjustment (0-4%).

About the role of Behavioral Health Clinician School Services:
BH Clinician in School Services provides mental health and supportive services to students and families in Woodland Joint Unified School District. Services include individual and group psychotherapy, immersion, and collaboration with various school sites.
Essential Functions:
- Provide in-person and telehealth services including assessment, triage, crisis support, and individual and/or group therapy for students experiencing a range of mental health symptoms in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive manner.
- Collaborate with school staff, WJUSD, and Yolo County Health and Human Services Mental Health to provide and coordinate care, including substance use disorders and level of care changes.
- Competently deliver therapy services to students and families with client goals being at the center of care.
- Independently manage complex caseload at various school locations throughout WJUSD which includes coordination with staff, travel between school sites, and service and support to students and their families.
- Effectively utilize measurement-based care practices to determine client progress, wellness and risk factors; collect required departmental pre/mid/post health screenings (e.g., PHQA, CANS).
- Complete clinical documentation within 48 hours of services in accordance with working hours, all documentation must comply with Medi-Cal, Beacon Health guidelines. Participate in peer chart reviews and other quality improvement efforts.
- Available for in-person and video-based crisis, triage, and consultation during and after school hours.
- Complies with established department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and patient service standards.
- Based on the individualized student assessment, develops a treatment plan of provision of services in collaboration with the client and includes measurable goals.
- Identifies referral needs. If needed, makes referrals for more intensive psychological or psychiatric services.
- Ability to address a wide range of mental health conditions, utilize a variety of assessment tools, facilitate diagnostic evaluations and treatment interventions to address client needs, goals, and circumstances.
- Refers students with apparent need for psychotropic medication to primary care provider and/or psychiatrist where appropriate.
- Participates in integrated system of care, staff meetings, case review, consultation/supervision sessions and other forums as required.
- Conducts all work within generally accepted standards and ethical guidelines of the social work or counseling professions. Seeks out guidance from School Services Supervisor/Youth and Family Services Manager when questions or concerns arise.
- As safe and appropriate to do so, transport clients or support with transportation arrangements.
- Creates a supportive discharge process, in collaboration with student and school/district staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Required:
- LMFT/LCSW/LPCC preferred, ASW/AMFT/APCC required. In good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in behavioral health / mental health.
- Bilingual preferred, Spanish strongly preferred.

Ability to operate office equipment (telephone, copies, fax and computer), ability to bend, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, hearing required. COMPLETED COVID VACCINATION REQURIED.
Special Skills/Equipment: Computer skills to include Microsoft Office and with training proficiently utilize eClinicalWorks. Knowledge of medical terminology, DSM 5 and ICD-10 codes. Must provide current drivers license and auto insurance, ability to travel in Yolo County (West Sacramento, Davis, Woodland). Able to proficiently engage and provide care to patients by way of HIPAA complaint telehealth/video-based services and fully participate in video-based meetings and trainings. Must have ability to effectively use telephonic translation services when client language preference dictates.
