Legacy Home Care is currently seeking a full-time SCHEDULER. Individuals being considered for this opening must show an ability to work cooperatively to provide consistent schedules to consumers while considering both consumer/Direct Care Worker compatibility and Direct Care Worker availability.

Legacy Home Care understands the critical role schedulers play in the satisfaction of both consumers and employees. An individual hired for this role will spend the first 30 days in a probationary period becoming familiar with each of our consumers and their care needs, getting to know our Direct Care Workers, understanding our agency culture, and demonstrating their work ethic and dependability.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a current Driver’s license, vehicle, insurance, vehicle registration
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must work every other weekend
  • Must have reasonable computer skills and the ability to learn our scheduling software
  • CNA certification preferred, but not required. However, applicants must be proficient caregivers and should have the following experience: Hoyer lifts, Sit-to-Stand lifts, Cleaning/emptying ostomies and catheters, Bathing, Dressing, Meal Prep
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be part of the on-call rotation
  • Must be able to work from the Legacy Home Care office located at 111 Walker Drive, Suite C, Edinboro, PA 16412.

Duties:

  • Probationary Period (Days 1-30): Become familiar with the care needs and preferences of each of our consumers by providing direct care to them. Become familiar with the Direct Care Workers, their availability, and their skills. Schedule will be given in advance (40 hours/week), but flexibility will be required in order to learn the care needs of consumers who may not receive services during daytime hours. Starting pay $13.50/hour. Individuals who do not successfully complete their probationary period may be offered a position as a Direct Care Worker.
  • Training Period (Days 31-60): Pay increase to $14.25/hour. Complete all assigned training tracks. Become familiar with this agency’s systems and software. Begin creating schedules, maintaining existing schedules, keep consumers and DCW’s informed about changes to their schedules, maintain compliance with Electronic Visit Verification. Individuals in their training period will start with complete Administrative support and progress towards working independently by the end of this period.
  • Evaluation (Day 60): Individuals who successfully complete all training tracks and demonstrate the ability to work independently will receive a pay increase to $15.00/hour. Individuals who do not complete all required training or who are unable to work independently may be required to extend their training period or may be offered a position as a Direct Care Worker.
