Sales Representative - Diesel Trucks
Full Time/Direct Hire | salary base + commission + benefits
Harrisonburg, VA or Roanoke, VA or Dublin, VA
Our client is looking for a dynamic top performer salesperson to join their Used Truck Department in either Roanoke, VA, Dublin, VA or Harrisonburg, VA – they are hiring for all 3 locations. They are looking for a self-motivated individual who is ready to take on the challenge of setting up a Used Truck market in Virginia. This position will consist of cold calling customers to establish a network of used truck buyers around the country.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Maximize sales opportunities by calling on, developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.
· Maintain a pipeline that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
· Develop and implement new strategies for sales through a drive towards continued learning.
· Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and utilize it to meet customer needs.
· Prepare sales orders and process paperwork accurately and timely in accordance with company policies.
· Collaborates with and introduces customers to service personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of repairs and maintenance.
· Negotiate and close business deals, stay involved through delivery and funding.
· Become fluent in all aspects of the industry and establish yourself as expert in the eyes of the customer.
· Be a contributing member of a great team and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability and drive to outperform the industry and management goals.
· Maintain a positive attitude while dealing with tough situations.
· Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer service with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner and maintain professional appearance and neat work area.
· Excellent sales, negotiation, and closing skills. Organized with attention to detail.
· Ability to learn and understand technical specifications of heavy-duty trucks.
· Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Ability to grow a brand using social media. (IE, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
Education and Experience:
· Some sales experience required
· High school graduate a must, some college preferred
· Reliable transportation, drivers license with clean MVR
Physical Requirements:
· Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
· Local territory, but could see overnights for meetings and training couple times per year
