The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Sales Manager, Parts & Accessories (Remote).

The Sales Manager - Parts and Accessories is responsible for ensuring growth and achieving annual sales targets for parts and accessories sales through our US H-D dealer network. As a subject matter expert for P&A, this individual will work with the existing Field Sales Managers across the U.S. to evaluate dealer performance, determine opportunities for improvement, and generate action plans to increase P&A attachment rates and customization of new and used motorcycles. They will also work cross-functionally with the Product Sales Team, Dealer Operations Consulting, H-D University, Service Business Consultants, and other key internal stakeholders to assist in the development of annual business plans that will drive consistent P&A growth for H-D. The FSM-P&A will report to a Regional Director of Sales.


Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively shares their subject matter expertise on P&A product knowledge, inventory management, merchandising, pricing/markdown strategies, process improvements, staffing etc.
  • Communicates centrally developed strategic plans to field team and dealers and supports the implementation of these plans (i.e., pre-accessorization, pre-selling accessories, utilization of digital selling tools, etc.)
  • In cooperation with the FSMs, supports the development of dealer-specific action plans and regular follow-up intended to deliver annual P&A goals.
  • Development and distribution of tools (training, meeting in a box, best practices etc.) that drive improved dealer performance
  • Measurement and Monitoring – creating regional, district, and dealer KPI dashboards.
  • Coordinate with the Product Sales team and FSM’s to develop and deliver value-added promotions/content direct to dealers (mostly virtual-based webinars, select regional/dealer group meetings). DSR to manage ongoing follow-up on dealer improvement commitments etc.
  • Monitors and evaluates dealer Parts and Accessories staff training participation and influences dealerships on the value of highly trained and knowledgeable staff.
  • Leverage the Harley-Davidson Custom Coverage and Collaborative Inventory Management programs.
  • Supports omnichannel integration and adoption of in-dealership In-Store Ordering Solutions.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred


Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience within a vehicle dealership or original equipment manufacturing service/parts operation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficient in delivering effective presentations to motivate dealers to take action.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint Presentation, and Outlook.
  • ~25% travel required

Preferred

  • Other in region languages would be an advantage.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
