Position: Sales Associate
Department: Ticket Sales
Reports To: Manager of Inside Sales
The Chicago White Sox are seeking highly motivated and dedicated Sales Associates to join our Inside Sales Program for the 2023 season. The successful candidate will be passionate with a desire to gain first-hand experience in the sports industry, specifically in Ticket Sales.
Our competitive 12-month sales development program begins in early June and focuses on continual sales training and career growth in the sports industry. The Sales Associate will be provided a full menu of products to sell including Season Tickets, Partial Season Tickets, Group Tickets, Party Areas, and Premium Seating. These products will be sold primarily via calls, face-to-face appointments, in game sales tables, networking events, and self-prospecting. Training and support will be provided by the leadership team.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for maximizing revenue through the sale of Chicago White Sox ticket packages including season tickets, partial plans, group tickets, party areas, and premium seating
- Make 60 + outbound calls daily from provided lists and self-prospecting
- Actively prospect and research new sales leads
- Proactively work to create new revenue opportunities with existing customers through ticket plans and referrals
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly ticket sales goals
- Handle incoming calls from sales prospects and existing clients
- Utilize Ticketmaster’s Archtics ticketing software and Microsoft CRM to manage customer accounts
- Conduct in-stadium appointments/tours to assist in closing new business
- Work games and other outside events to support ticket sales initiatives
- Provide excellent service through phone calls, emails, written communication and in-person visits in the office and special events
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Inside Sales
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Archtics and Microsoft CRM Platform
- Aggressive, competitive and committed to growing in the sports industry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superior time management skills and presentation skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed, in addition to traditional business hours
- Highly motivated with a passion for a growth oriented career in sales
- Ability to work as a team player and lead by example in the office
- Detail-oriented and organized; ability to handle several projects at once
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college/university in a related field required
- Preferably 1-2 years sales experience, sports/entertainment experience a plus
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office experience preferred
