Position Title: Route Manager

Department / Work Location: Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager

Status: Casual Nonexempt

Position Purpose: Supporting the Operations of Tovar Snow Professionals, part of the Outworx Group Family of companies. The Route Manager will be responsible for supervising and training employee and vendor partners in their respective position to ensure safe, professional, and efficient service in assigned branch. Provide leadership which results in positive employee/employer relations and a professional corporate image.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  Liaison to the vendor partner/sub- contractors
• Employee training
• Cost control
• Establish priorities to meet customer service commitments and customer service calls
• Validate production, quality & chemical on all sites
• Supervise Walk Managers, Salt Drivers, and indirectly Walk Drivers and laborers, as it relates to performance
• Assess the skills, knowledge, and abilities relative to succession planning
• Monitor and ensure full compliance with policies and procedures that address: (a) preparation for the snow season, (b) preparation for the actual snow event, (c) the snow event itself, and (d) the follow-up tasks after the snow event
• Report bulk/liquid usage
• Report aux inventory status
• Submit dispatch info within 2 hours after each event start & finish
• Validate Walk Manager & Salt Driver timecards
• Clocks in/out using provided time keeping app at start and end of shift.
• Follows correct and timely post-accident reporting and testing procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Education, Requirements and/or Professional Experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Driver’s License - CDL preferred
• The ability to pass a background check
• Acceptable driving record.

Skills/Qualifications:

• On-Call daily availability from October 15th to April 15th
• Must have a smart phone that can download timekeeping application

Physical Requirements:

• Required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, grasp, carry, push, and pull for long period of time.
• Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds plus.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The ability to work under strenuous, inclement outdoor weather for extended periods of time.
