Job Highlights:

We are looking for a responsible Delivery Driver with a flexible schedule. Experience driving cargo vans, box trucks and basic vehicle maintenance. Routes cover Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan and West Virginia.

Shifts:

Depending on what the needs are for any given week, most drivers work Monday through Thursday. They could also be scheduled for some work Friday thru Sunday. Early morning start times. Possibility of overnight stay. (Paid by Company).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Driver duties –

• Safely operate, load, unload and deliver freight utilizing a small box truck or cargo van
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time sensitive schedules that require detailed attention
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; evaluate and report issues through the appropriate parties (dispatch/ managers)
• Comfortable climbing into and out of vehicles repeatedly with no difficulties. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, twist, move, push and pull up to 40 pounds, and tolerate prolonged sitting while driving.

Additional duties –

• General warehouse duties, clean, wash and sanitize truck's, assist with sorting and scanning of crates for driver route's
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned and work in all weather conditions (inside and outside)

The work is characterized as light work. Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Minimum Requirements and Employee Expectations

• Must be at least 21+ years of Age
• Valid driver's license with For Hire Endorsement – Previously a Chauffeur’s License
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Acceptable driving record (2 or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years and no DWI/DUI in the past 5 years for insurance purposes).
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
• Ability to use smartphones and willingness to learn our company’s workflow-related applications
• Basic computer, tablet and/or smartphone skills and GPS and other routing systems
• Be a quick learner, detail-oriented, dependable, have a positive attitude
• Communication proficiency - Able to follow verbal and written directions
• Must NOT be restricted for access on military bases and government facilities
