The Information Security Risk and Compliance Manager is expected to be well organized, detailed-oriented, have strong problem solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines. This employee will lead a team of Security Risk and Compliance Analysts who will test, assess, and audit various business and third-party controls, and report on the effectiveness of those controls to leadership.To ensure success, this employee should be confident, professional, and self-motivated, with a keen interest in the ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of a business. They will have outstanding presentation and report writing skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participates and leads a team of analysts performing the following functions:
    • Identifys and assesses areas of significant Information Security related business risk
    • Manages and reports compliance breaches and exposures
    • Develops, implements, and maintains Information Security audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice
    • Reviews all new products, systems, or processes to ensure Information Security risks are identified and addressed, as well as ensuring compliance with existing policies and controls
    • Conducts ad hoc investigations into identified or reported Information Security risks
  • Supports various departments by collecting and coordinating Information Security risk and compliance data with auditors and various departments
  • Ensurs complete, accurate, and timely audit testing is performed and information is reported to Information Technology Leadership and internal Risk Committees
  • Continuously develops professional skills to use most effective approaches/methods/technologies
Requirements:
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Works under pressure to meet deadlines,independently and as part of a team
  • Leads a team of analysts
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills

Education and Experience:

  • Completed degree in Information Security, Risk Management, Law, or Audit (essential)
  • Postgraduate degree in Risk or Compliance (highly advantageous)
  • Accreditation with (ISC)2 or ISSA (highly advantageous)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Information Security Risk or Compliance role (essential)

Physical Demands:

The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
