Hawaiian Properties, Ltd. is one of the oldest locally owned and operated property management companies in the State of Hawaii. The Company is looking for a full-time Receptionist/Front Desk Operator

We are seeking an “initiative-taking”, self-motivated, & reliable individual with excellent communication skills, a great presence, and a nice voice. Must be extremely confident and organized with excellent attendance. Must also have good computer skills and be able to multi-task.

Essential Duties include the following:

  • Check voice mail and distribute messages
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and in a courteous manner. Abide by current “General Front Area Etiquette.”
  • Greet visitors in a cordial, pleasant, and professional manner. Provide customers with a positive first impression of the organization.
  • Direct prospective customers, tenants, applicants, vendors, etc. to appropriate staff members.
  • Inform maintenance of any repairs related to the building as requested/needed.
  • Update employee directory, Condo/Rental Directories, etc.
  • Frequently Update Emergency Answering Service
  • Route fax transmittals received via RightFax. Also, check manual fax transmittals
  • Provide backup support to the mail clerk in opening, sorting, & distributing incoming mails.
  • Maintain the reception area in a clean and neat condition at all times
  • Assist in the sorting of documents/files for filing purposes
  • Provide administrative and clerical support as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors and other employees
  • Organization skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly
  • Time management skills to prioritize and complete a side variety of tasks throughout the day
  • Patience and listening skills to respond appropriate and interact positively with upset customers
  • Interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all customers, such as being personable and attentive
