Receptionist Job at FFE Transportation Services, Inc.
Frozen Food Express is looking for a Receptionist for our Lancaster, TX location.

Responsibilities:
- Greet employees and visitors professionally, exhibiting a positive and pleasant attitude
- Assist visitors by confirming appointments with Executive Staff member or Management before allowing access to FFE Transportation offices
- Responsible for answering and transferring incoming calls for the main FFE Transportation phone line in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain focus on assigned tasks by minimizing conversations with employee passerby
- Provide support to the Executive Staff. Handle appointments, phone calls, mail duties, paperwork assistance, etc. as requested
- Sort all incoming mail and deliver or contact the person assigned for pickup of mail, when mail has not been collected on a daily/scheduled basis
- Accept US Post Office, UPS, Federal Express, Amazon, etc. deliveries and notify and/or deliver packages to employee/department head
- Confirm pickup of mail by US Post Office representative daily. Should mail not be picked up by US Post Office Representative, notify Donna Mecom and Rachel Collins and secure the mail before leaving work or deliver mail to the local Post Office when instructed to do so
- Maintain a strict schedule at receptionist desk. Ensure coverage during meal periods, breaks, and while completing duties away from receptionist desk so that front door can be opened when needed. Schedule, including meal and break periods, is determined by supervisor
- When away from the Receptionist Desk and coverage by another HR employee is not feasible, must place phone in auto-attendant mode. Notify Human Resources managers of absence from desk to ensure coverage of duties
- Daily monitoring of the cleanliness of Executive Building offices, common areas, conference rooms, etc. and report any maintenance needs to Consuelo Sanchez via email with a copy to Derek O’Rear, Donna Mecom and Rachel Collins
- Inspect the outside of the Executive Building daily and report to Consuelo Sanchez any landscaping needs and trash pickup/maintenance needed at employee entry gate, drivers’ lounge and patio areas or any other area that is identified as needing grounds keeping attention
- Maintain a clean and clutter free reception area. Manage package deliveries promptly to keep reception area clear. Keep desk clean of debris and excess documents. Inspect all furniture and décor daily. Notify Housekeeping of any cleaning or repairs promptly
- Business casual attire and professional behavior is expected of employee(s) representing FFE at receptionist area
- Scan child support, garnishments and other notices to HR and Payroll representatives when needed
- Assist with Driver Payroll process as instructed and other HR/Payroll responsibilities as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications/Skills:
- Must work on campus in Lancaster, TX for all shifts. Remote work not available
- Shift begins 7am and ends 4pm with one hour lunch, Monday through Friday
- Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be organized, punctual, and detailed in all tasks and duties
- Must be able to demonstrate the skills outlined in the Job Description
- Transportation or Logistics experience preferred
