Job Description:

The Quality Supervisor oversees all aspects of Quality to ensure compliance with all Company, industry, quality, food safety, and legality guidelines, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in support of the plant’s Quality Assurance & Safety. Develop and maintain clear objectives for QA techs within the department under the supervisor’s influence and control. Monitor KPI’s for achieving results while fostering a safe working environment. Provide training and coaching which will allow each associate to perform at their best and deliver results in a continuous process improvement environment. Ensure all associates understand the vision of our company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements

• Supervise and evaluate employee’s performance of Quality personnel.

• Co-ordinate with other managers/supervisors to understand and execute Quality requirements.

• Monitor production always and resolve any issues in relation to Quality.

• Prevent production line downtime by minimizing errors.

• Ensure that established process control procedures are followed throughout the plant.

• Conduct regular plant food safety and security audits.

• Maintain Sample retainers for each product SKU produced and inventory of each SKU.

• Maintain Inventory of Quarantined goods and minimize the WIP items.

• Create and maintain a record keeping system which provides immediate access to data and product records for a minimum of three years.

• Report and provide all data required to Compliance team to maintain an ISO 9001/cGMP facility standards.

• Interface with customers and vendors as necessary to resolve any product quality problems.

• Lead and participate in problem solving activities, including root cause analysis, test method validations, and risk management related to design, manufacturing and supplier issues.

• Audit the established process control checks (raw ingredients, WIP, finished product, and packaging) and pre-requite programs to ensure daily compliance.

• Establish and new systems, controls, or processes to maintain the highest level of quality standard.

• Ensure production is carried out according to high quality standards set forth by the company and Quality Department.

• Always promotes a safe working environment and enforce health and safety precautions.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

• Follows and maintains a cGMP environment.

• Reference and Input data on NetSuite as required

• Attend and report in production/Quality meetings findings as required.

• Innovate, suggest, and execute future efficiency, cost savings, higher productivity, and better Risk management Ideas.

• Perform Annual employee performance appraisals.

• Perform New Hire Employee 90 days performance review.

• Provide a weekly product hold (WIP) and customer complaints. Review, update, implement changes and establish standards to controlled documents.

• Oversee production line clearance and ensure time required per clearance is within spec.

• Support and execute as required for a continuous improvement operation.

• Maintain a team player and “together is better” attitude

• Discipline and reward quality department employees in required time frame.

• Hold Quality and safety meetings and training as required. Ensure all employees are completely always trained.

• Provide leadership and physical presence to achieve company objectives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• La Verne, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
