Krista Dunn here, from Ascend Medical Staffing. I have several opportunities for ongoing Locum Psychiatry in the beautiful state of Hawaii. There are currently opportunities on the islands: Hawaii (Big Island), Kauai, and Maui, with more to follow. This is a wonderful opportunity to live in paradise for six months. Provider must commit to a minimum of 3 months, but preference will be given to those who commit to 6. Please see the details below:

• Location: Beautiful Hawaii! There are positions available on the Hawaiian Islands of Hawaii (Big Island), Kauai, and Maui.
• Start Date: August 1, 2022 or ASAP
• End Date: January 31, 2023 (ongoing, must commit to a minimum of 3 months; 6 months preferred)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week, 7:45am - 4:30pm, last appt. scheduled at 3 or 3:30pm depending on appt. type; no Call
• Appointment Types and scheduling: Initial appts are 1 hour; subsequent appointments are 30 minutes; Psych evals

(initial and annual) are 1 hour

• Initially, the doctor will have about 6 appts per day. It will increase but there will always be time set aside each day for

catch-up. The client is very flexible and will work with the doctor for scheduling.

• Requirements: Must have active, clear HI license, BE/BC, Clean malpractice, DEA, and NPDB; Must have CSR (Controlled Substance Registration) must be in place 2 weeks after license is issued; The doctor will need to have someone check their mail to get the pin #; Additionally, REMS certification (Risk Evaluation & Mitigation Strategy), a drug safety program that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration can require for certain medications with serious safety concerns to help ensure the benefits of the medication outweigh the risks.
• Clientele: Adults with serious mental illness; many of them are on long-acting injectable medication. Clozaril is often prescribed, so REMS registration is required.
• Credentialing Timeframe: 2 to 4 weeks for outpatient; 4 to 8 weeks for State Hospital
• EMR: Avatar
