PROGRAM/PROJECT SPECIALIST

Probation Specialty Courts Division

Pay Range: $18.974 – 23.171 /Hourly Probation Specialty Courts Division or as assigned

Target Pay: $21.759 Hourly

Essential Tasks: This position will report to the Program Manager of the Outreach Court. Daily functions would

include remaining in contact with outside provider agencies, ensuring that proper documentation has been sent

regarding Outreach Court clients from the provider to the Court. Employee will be an integral part of outreach to

outside agencies, which would include but not limited to, accompanying the program judge and other team members to

present the Outreach Court program to relevant provider agencies in the Metro area, establishing and maintaining

relationships between providers and the Court, and helping to organize Outreach Court events. The employee will also

be responsible for docketing all relevant information regarding Outreach Court clients (file transfers, orders, dismissals,

warrant cancellations, entry of appearances etc.) into the Court’s Odyssey Case Management System or any other

duties deemed appropriate by the Court. May perform other duties to meet the operational needs of the Court. A more

Qualifications: Education: Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Business

or Public Administration, Social Sciences or a related field. Education Substitution: Two (2) years of experience,

performing increasingly responsible administrative or clerical duties for a Special Court Program may substitute for

education on a year for year basis. Experience: Two (2) years of administrative and/or clerical experience related to

programs or projects, including experience as a legal office specialist. Experience Substitution: Secondary education in

a related field may substitute for up to one (1) year of experience. Thirty (30) semester hours equals one (1) year of

experience. A post-offer background history and fingerprint check is required.

Working Conditions: The following functions are representative, but not all inclusive of the work environment and

physical demands an employee may expect to encounter in performing task assigned to this job. Work is performed in

an office or court setting. A valid driver’s license and travel may be required. The assigned work schedule may

include nights, weekends, holiday and overtime. The employee must regularly interact positively with co-workers,

clients, the public and judges and justices.
