About this opportunity
As a Production Supervisor – Packaging, you will lead up to 30 TC Lenexa production team members in our Flexographic Printing, Laminating, and Converting Operation. Ensuring day to day team member oversight, including team member safety, product quality, productivity, and cost-effective production operations. Working collaboratively with your peers to accomplish our goals and meet customer expectations is key!

This Production Supervisor posting is for our TC Lenexa location within the Packaging Sector, across all shifts - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, rotating 12's day/night, & weekend shifts.

• 1st shift hours – 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday – Friday
• 2nd shift hours – 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, Monday – Friday
• 3rd shift hours – 11:00 pm – 7:00 am, Monday - Friday
• Rotating 12's day hours - 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 2/2/3 schedule
• Rotating 12's night hours - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, 2/2/3 schedule
• Weekend shift hours - 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, Friday - Sunday

• Lead shift operations to meet daily/weekly production targets, working towards goals and objectives to ensure they are met while adhering to internal quality and safety standards.
• Exhibit leadership consistent with TC Lenexa’s culture – leading and motivating your team while providing mentorship and training to team members.
• Foster a safe work environment by monitoring and coordinating activities related to team member safety, leading team efforts in meeting or exceeding KPI goals.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts with your team, collaborating with others across the plant to ensure production and cost targets are met or exceeded.

What you have to offer

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years leading people in a manufacturing environment, wide web flexible packaging experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to lead, coach and mentor teams.

• Additional hours may be required during heavy volume seasons.
• This is a manufacturing environment requiring wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and steel toe-covered shoes (provided by TC Lenexa), as well as hearing protection.
• Within this manufacturing environment, inks and solvents often create a strong odor.
