Oakhurst Dairy is recruiting for multiple positions in the Production Department.
The Production Operator is responsible for working in a safe manner while complying with all food safety requirements (SQF) and HACCP (a process of identifying potential food safety hazards) as well as other regulatory standards. The individual must be able to work 10-12 hour shifts in a cold, wet environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring packaging requirements are met.
- Ensuring proper cap color and date code on all bottles
- Flushing fillers
- Taking samples for testing to Quality Control Department
- Completing daily reports
- 2nd shift Operators are responsible for sanitation including hand-cleaning, hoses, etc. while working with chemicals.
- Salary – minimum $18/hour starting pay, higher based on experience
- Generous benefits package (including 3 weeks & 3 days’ vacation after first year of employment - prorated 1st year).
- Positions available on both day and night shifts
Schedule
Morning:
Mon/Weds/Thurs 2am-12:30pm
Fri 4am-2pm
Tuesdays and Saturdays rotate
Afternoon:
Mon/Weds/Thurs 12:30pm-finish
Fri 2pm to finish
Tuesdays and Saturdays rotate
Minimum Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- High School diploma
- Basic ESL
Required Skills/Attributes
- Desire to grow and advance as new opportunities arise.
- Some mechanical abilities (working with hand tools)
- Detail oriented and ability to maintain records
- Critical thinking
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Standing - 100% of time
- Reach & pick up (arm fully extended)
- Shipping and/or manufacturing experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
