Job Description:
Our Digital Signage Product Manager is the focal point of the product portfolio and in charge of managing processes related to product lineup and lifecycle. The Product Manager documents and drives product roadmaps collaboratively and communicates price and features to the marketing and sales teams for product launch. Product lifecycle management includes feature/requirements gathering from the customers, documentation of form & function within the solution set, and communications with the Alpha development team and strategic vendor partners.

Job Duties:

  • Contributes to new product ideas and the selection of product enhancements based on market needs and market understanding; develops and leads product launch plans.
  • Translates product strategies into detailed requirements and prototypes; documents and presents strategy, vision, plans (road maps) to executive team, product team and applicable stakeholders.
  • Develops and manages processes for design, integration, test, quality, and marketing as the products move to production and distribution.
  • Calculates return on investment (ROI) of product development for new product lines.
  • Markets, documents, and demonstrates capability feature and functionality to End Users in support of Sales activities.
  • Attends trade shows, conferences, and conventions to represent Alpha and provides product insights to customers and prospects.
  • Develops and leads End-User engagement activities: surveys, focus groups, advisory councils, to understand voice-of-the-customer and insights.
  • Provides customer insight through market research, customer advisory boards, and customer interviews via sales calls and win/loss analysis
  • Identifies potential strategic partners and solidifies beneficial relationships

Job Requirements:

  • up to 30% travel

Required Experience In:

  • Product Management and Product Development processes and best practices.
  • Direct customer engagement and collaboration on the product development lifecycle.
  • Leading a collaborative, cross-functional team in achieving documented business goals.
  • Working directly with a Sales team in business development or sales enablement.

Preferred Experience:

  • Digital Signage / IPTV markets and competitive landscape.
  • Advising on the acquisition, design and integration of digital signage systems, LED display walls and other related equipment.
  • Implementing and managing an iterative and incremental approach to product development, using Scrum and Agile techniques.
  • Preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence, policies, procedures, and other written materials.

Education/Knowledge:

  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in business, computer science or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Four years of professional product management experience, preferably in a digital signage or multi-media environment.

Licenses:

  • Must possess a valid class C driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Physical Demands:

  • Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; strength to lift and move computer hardware components weighing up to thirty pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communication in person, before groups and over the telephone.
