Riverside is a general practice hospital offering routine medical, surgical, and dental care. We also specialize in boarding and grooming! Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
As a Pet Groomer you will work with our clients to ensure their pets are safely groomed, and healthy. You will be a highly skilled and experienced groomer, but also an excellent provider of customer service. You should be a passionate pet lover who is organized and enjoys a busy, fast-paced environment.
Tasks include :
- Bathing, drying, cleaning ears, deep brushing, de-matting, breed standard cuts, teeth brushing, nail trimming, and glands cleaning.
- Pet intake and discussing grooming process with clients at drop off, along with communicating to the clients regarding any issues that may arise.
- Recommend services based on the needs of the pet and give clients an estimate of the cost/time taken for the service.
- Consult with client after grooming about future grooming, health needs and additional recommendations.
- Clip and comb pet hair according to breed standards and required style.
- Monitor health and well-being of the pets during grooming.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years recent grooming experience.
- Must be able to safely handle all pets of all sizes and temperaments, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant and sanitation chemicals, and animal dander.
