Patient Coordinator Job at State of New Jersey
Contract Duration : 3+ Months with the possibility of Extension
Our hospital is seeking a reliable, highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator who is familiar with keeping office and medical records. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Patient Coordinator, strong organizational skills and a dedication to patient care. Our hospital is dedicated to providing superior medical care, making this the ideal position for an individual who is enthusiastic about helping customers and building long term relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the patient’s ability to pay for services.
- Creates payment arrangements via cash, check, credit card or payment plan as appropriate.
- Utilizes the Epic estimator tool to provide estimates and collect up front payments, deductible and copays.
- Interviews patients at bedside, on the phone or in the office to determine eligibility for financial assistance.
- Completes and approves or submits completed applications for charity care, Medicaid and 501R.
- Obtains insurance information, checks eligibility for active coverage and updates patients accounts accordingly.
- Answering and returning phone calls and other general office tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Morristown, NJ 07960: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
