YWCA Oklahoma City offers victims of domestic violence (DV), sexual assault (SA), and stalking immediate crisis response services through our C.A.R.E. and H.O.P.E programs. The C.A.R.E. programs includes the following services: Crisis hotlines, Advocacy, emergency Residential shelter, and forensic nurse Exams. The H.O.P.E. programs includes Healing, Opportunities, Prevention, and Education. YWCA OKC services are provided at our primary location, through staff embedded at the Palomar Family Justice Center and local hospitals throughout the metro Oklahoma City area. Virtual options may be available for certain services.
The YWCA Oklahoma City is currently seeking part-time Sexual Assault Advocates. We are seeking dynamic professionals, who are energetic, take initiative, proactively build and maintain relationships, and demonstrate appropriate decision making skills. The Relief Sexual Assault Advocate Staff provides emotional support, advocacy and crisis intervention to primary and secondary victims of sexual assault and victims of domestic violence at hospitals. This position requires being available to be on call and respond to the hospital between 12 am - 6 pm, Sunday - Saturday and to serve as back-up call for volunteer advocates. These hours will be shared with other Sexual Assault Advocates.

Assist in maintaining advocacy and crisis intervention services to victims of sexual assault in the social service, legal, law enforcement, hospital and medical settings and/or any safe and appropriate site as needed by the client.
- Provide support and information regarding hospital and police procedures.
- Work with hospital staff, SANEs and law enforcement to ensure the best possible care to clients.
- Assist clients in accessing additional resources and/or safety planning as needed, including information regarding Victims Compensation.
- Work as a team to provide 24/7 coverage for monthly schedule.
- Complete and fulfill assigned/scheduled on call shifts, unless previously approved by Supervisor.
- Help provide debriefing for volunteer crisis advocates during coverage hours.
- Complete all required agency forms and/or documentation required by licensing and funding sources.
- Attend orientation for new employees, scheduled in-service training and complete ongoing annual training requirement as required by agency and funding source.
Associate’s Degree required and one year of related SA/DV experience preferred. Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills are required along with good crisis management and problem solving skills.
