This is a full-time, benefits eligible position reporting directly to the engineering manager. The ideal candidate for this position will need to have experience with redlining, viewing base maps for OSP distribution, working with GIS systems and have an understanding of aerial, underground, copper, fiber and substructure design. Overview:
Pauley Construction, LLC., is seeking a Network Planner for Outside Plant to provide local support of OSP Network Implementation. The Network Planner-OSP role will engage with engineering and construction partners, subcontractors and in-house personnel, to coordinate implementation of the local OSP Telecommunications Network.
The role may also include developing and issuing plans and redlined drawings for new facilities and/or upgrades and enhancements to the OSP telecommunications network. The Network Planner – OSP will also submit any Loop Electronics and/or TIRKS forms required by Network Planning. The Network Planner – OSP will not supervise any employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform Cost Analysis / Desk Top Estimate of projects to determine if the project meets the customer cost criteria and submit on-behalf of the company.
  • Provide Planning Hand-off packages for Engineering, including redlined drawings/presentation slides laying out the overall network plan.
  • Anticipate capacity requirements in the network utilizing forecast data, existing network inventory data, strategic planning data.
  • Perform long-range forecasting, feeder route analysis and administration and other strategic planning activities, as business needs dictate
  • Knowledge of and application of customer architectures, models and configurations.
  • Knowledge and application of Fiber to the Tower, Fiber to the Business, Fiber to the Node and Fiber to the Home Architectures and Technologies.
  • Requires use of systems, including but not limited to FW/BM, NDS, TIRKS, NIBE, LFACS/MARTENS, FORTE, Google Earth, CATT, WMS and WFMT.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Construction.
  • Provide any documentation required for the cost-effective placement of communication facilities
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of Telecom OSP Experience
  • 2+ years of Telecom OSP Planning Experience
  • Working knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards, practices, and regulations pertaining to the engineering of outside plant facilities
  • Knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements
  • Knowledge of fiber optic counts, fiber assignments and splicing schematics in a high-density fiber environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and experience with Excel and Word
  • Effective communication skills and professional accountability
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree preferred in a related industry
  • Must have own reliable transportation

Pay
Range: This is a salaried exempt position with a pay range of $70,000 to $85,000 yearly.
