Actlien was founded during the depths of the Great Financial Recession to invest in housing when the world didn't want to get further away from the asset class. The company is in two primary lines of business: municipal credit services and real estate management.

As of this writing, Actlien works with county and municipal authorities in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and South Carolina. We also manage and own over 300 residential properties. The current opening supports our property management and leasing division in this small but quickly growing company.

There are three primary responsibilities that will need to be addressed by the candidate and the team with which the candidate will work: first, helping to manage our property listings. This entails various responsibilities ranging from creating and managing documents and records for our tenants to attending open houses and reviewing listing agreements. The second set of responsibilities are lease renewals and delinquency management. This entails everything from providing renewals options to existing tenants to working with our attorneys on collections, among other responsibilities. And last, handling tenant relations. This may be the most important part as the tenant is our life-blood and making sure our maintenance team addresses can have a dramatic impact on how our tenants view us as landlord.

These responsibilities will be fulfilled from our Hainesport, NJ office where the candidate will be expected to report 5 days per week.

Prerequisites include a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, punctuality, a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, strong communication skills, and very strong organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Excel or Sheets and Word or Docs required. No relevant industry experience required, but a willingness to learn new software and/or technologies as needed to do the job better/faster is required. Continual improvement is at the core of the position and with material improvement the candidate will earn more and do more within the business.
