Regional Sales Manager

Home office based role, preference for candidates near a major airport

Great Lakes Territory [Eastern Edge of Lake Michigan including Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio]

Blue Harlan is the recruitment partner to this established family owned and operated business offering equipment solutions to clear snow and ice in the most efficient way possible. The result is making jobs easier for snow removal fleets and contractors through design and manufacturing of pro-grade plows, pushers, and blowers. The attachments are made for skid steers, wheel loaders, front loaders, tractors, and other large utility vehicles.

Our Opportunity

The Regional Sales Manager will manager existing dealers and look to generate new leads in the region. You will perform various tasks to ensure growth, revenue, and profitability. Critical to the success of the position includes: Customer lead generations, prospecting and obtaining sales within assigned region, revenue growth and market penetration, expense management, existing customer management and new customer development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage pricing strategies and customer targets.
  • Develop, maintain relationships and provide support to dealers and contractors throughout the region.
  • Promote and increase product awareness through presentations, onsite visits, in person cold calls, phone conversations, and e-mail communications.
  • Monitor competition within the region.
  • Source and follow up on leads for a variety of projects.
  • Dealer development, selling inventory, product training, and demo equipment

Ideal candidate should have

  • Have 5+ years in building product sales, especially in the construction equipment industries.
  • Enjoy customer service and developing long lasting relationships.
  • Provide consulting services to dealers and contractors as to how the equipment can achieve their desired service levels.
  • Have ability to be versatile and work independently while still operating within a team environment.
  • Proven track record of managing profits; including meeting regional sales financial objectives, utilizes forecasting; preparing annual budgets; and scheduling sales and marketing expenditures, while implementing change when needed.
  • Have excellent customer service and presentation skills.
  • Able to quickly build trusted, honest relationships with current and new customers at multiple levels within a business.
  • Quickly take action on customer concerns, investigate situations and recommend solutions.
  • Ability and desire to cold call potential clients.
  • One or more years in customer service, sales, marketing.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Prior experience in construction.
