We are seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our team! You will provide therapeutic-oriented rehabilitation services in group or individual settings in school setting, community or telehealth.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, and Counseling from an accredited college or university. Possess a mental health license in the state of Maryland. Have at least one year of experience working with emotionally disturbed youth or adults with mental health needs.

Job Summary:

Provides counseling/psychotherapy to individuals and/or groups, adults, adolescents, and/or children based upon clinical assessment and diagnosis, development of treatment plans, and engagement of the client in the therapeutic process. Provides emergency services and crisis intervention as needed; participates in quality improvement process; may provide mental health education and consultation; maintains timely and accurate clinical documentation.

The duties of the Mental Health Therapist will include, but not limited to:

• Provides psychotherapy and other clinical services to the community that meets an established clinical standard of care. Makes documented referrals for psychiatric evaluation/consultation
• Completes assessments, identifies, diagnose issues and problems. Collects relevant information. Maintains necessary patient confidentiality.
• Produces direct service billable hours as assigned by supervisor.
• Completes all mandated training for this classification and/or licensure. When applicable, maintains licensure as required. Complete all CARF mandate trainings.
• Completes all documentation (i.e. intake and progress notes, treatment plans, transition and discharge summaries) in a timely manner consistent with Building Blocks policy, state and federal requirements.
• Provides feedback to Clinical Director regarding identified gaps in clinical services.
• Participates in the development and collection of outcome data to aid in quality assurance and quality improvement.
• Attends clinical staffing’s. Employs effective communication skills and responds to email/phone calls within a timely matter.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
