We are looking for Medical Assistants with a background in administrative work. Must have at least 3 years of experience in a Certified Medical Assistant or similar position. The successful candidate will have experience with front office duties, such as opening mail and answering the phone and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. We're looking for an individual with great attention to detail, who is also personable and professional. Back Office experience is a plus.

The Care Promoter, Specialist is an unlicensed medical professional who has received specialized training to perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to support the Specialist PCP and provide a great patient experience. In addition to administrative duties, Care Promoters perform clinical duties under direct physician specialist supervision in accordance with state medical practice acts. The Medical Assistant, Specialist is an integral member of a Physician-lead Care Team that is focused on providing excellent and comprehensive primary care for a specific population of patients.

**REQUIRED**

• Experience working with Cardiologist or Podiatrist is required
• MUST have at least 3 years of Medical Assistant experience

Responsibilities:

• Make travel arrangements for physicians and other staff.
• Prepare medical office forms and appointment books.
• Perform clerical tasks, such as filing patient records, typing memos, and tracking inventory.
• Answer phones and direct calls to the proper parties.
• Perform and oversee clerical duties in the laboratory, radiology, and specimen collection areas of a hospital.
• Monitor patient conditions to ensure proper treatment by medical professionals.
• Perform routine tests to ensure patients are safe at home.
• Determine what medications a patient is able to take by reviewing their medical history.
• Review billing information with patients.
• Follow up on insurance claims.
