BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):

This position is responsible for generating graphics materials and all phases of production including media, supporting The Mill's marketing programs and initiatives, as well as assisting internal departments.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
  • Primary resource for graphic layout, design and development as needed for all CEDCO entities. Includes but is not limited to:
    • Print collateral
    • Brochures/Flyers
    • Billboards
    • Mailers; routine and specialized
    • Signage & large-format visuals
    • Direct mail
    • Display advertising
    • Interactive media/website updates
    • Commemorative and branded objects including wearables (embroidery and screen print) coins, pins, cups, etc.
    • Packaging labels
    • Website & App content
  • Oversee all printed collateral and coupon inventory. Track appropriately per procedure and timeline.
  • Ensure timely delivery of advertising/promotional materials to publications and signage vendors
  • Develop graphics, update and schedule the casino digital message centers.
  • Change out brochures, flyers, danglers and posters in all areas of the property in a timely manner.
  • Monitor stock of collateral materials on the floor on a daily basis.
  • Assist in special events to ensure guest satisfaction and event success.
  • Provide graphic design resources to other departments as needed for flyers, menus, signage, etc.
  • Coordinate and execute professional and in-house photo shoots and broadcast productions.
  • Regularly archive and document all graphic materials.
  • Liaison with Advertising Agency as needed.
  • Assist in copy development (including development of raw concepts, composition and copy editing) for collateral and media needs.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing Department in provision of quality graphic elements to vendors who provide branding options.
  • Act as a quality-control agent for all graphic materials in the public eye.
  • Provide administrative support to Marketing Services Group.
  • Interact with other disciplines in Marketing Department to coordinate projects.
  • Compile media materials for off-site posting to include various websites, as needed.
  • Maintains a photo record of signage and any changes throughout the property.
  • Represent The Mill professionally and positively on the telephone and in person.
  • Assist in the training and development of Tribal Member employees following The Mill's Tribal Member Preference policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):

  • This position requires at least a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and education preferably in marketing, with minimum five years practical graphic design experience.
  • A combination of equivalent formal education, trade school and work experience may be considered.
  • Must have extensive experience in graphics programs on a Macintosh or PC platform, including Adobe Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, other graphic software, and general office productivity software (i.e., Microsoft Office suite).
  • Web site development experience desirable.
  • Good communication and organizational skills required.
  • Prior work experience demonstrating an ability to adapt easily to new technology required.
  • Understanding of typography, print layout standards, and professional print processes/standards is essential.
  • Ability to work with large volumes of detail oriented tasks, deadlines and pressure situations.
  • Experience working within a shared file system necessary.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.
