Maintenance Laborer - 1st shift Job at Emerson
Appleton Electric, an Emerson owned metal casting foundry in South Milwaukee, WI, is currently seeking a 1st shift Maintenance General Laborer. The Maintenance Laborer has diverse responsibilities which change daily. They provide assistance whenever needed. Rate of pay is $17.50/hour, plus benefits. Come and join our team!
Essential Job Duties:
- Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules.
- Comply with and maintain areas to 5S+1 standards and housekeeping standards
- Drive fork truck and boom lift - company trains
- Perform filter changes, replace and recyle lightbulbs
- Paint buildings, areas and equipment
- Maintain fuel levels for diesel heaters and gas cans
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Forklift driver experience.
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time; strength in arms and legs.
- Ability to work in a hot work environment.
