MyTeam Medical Staffing seeks to fill a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician position for a surgical specialty. Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician must have a minimum of 2 years physician office or clinic experience. Fast paced surgical specialty practice that is focused on providing high quality medical and surgical services, seeks a highly trained, well organized Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and works well in a team oriented environment. The main purpose of the Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician is to assist the providers with patient care.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have reliable and proven references
  • Graduate of an accredited MA program
  • AAMA, CMA, NCCT NCMA, and/or AMT RMA certification and two years clinical experience in Medical Practice. Other licenses include an Oregon EMT.

Preferred: Two years clinical experience in surgical specialty. Federal Exclusions List and Background Check will be performed.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Must have proven oral and written communication skills; as well as excellent customer service skills, ability to effectively work as a team member, able to highly manage multiple tasks simultaneously, well organized and excellent attention to detail, quick on feet, calm under pressure, must have confidence and be eager to learn and help, highly flexible and able to take direction with minimal supervision, and ability to prioritize.
  • Must be extremely flexible, good at actively listening, reliable, treat co-workers and patients with respect at all times.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Facilitating patient flow, candidate is responsible, rooming patients, obtaining history and chief complaint, assisting with biopsies and select surgical procedures as well as talking to patients about biopsy results and maintaining pathology logs.
  • Patient education on treatment plans, chart appropriately, maintain records, keep clinical areas well stocked with current supplies, perform various administrative tasks, perform telephone triage all while demonstrating teamwork, customer service, effective use of resources, and showing initiative.
  • To be successful in this position, the medical assistant must be cheerful, friendly, polite, tactful, and professional in appearance and manner.
  • He/she will be able to communicate with the provider and the patient while being mindful of patient confidentiality. He/she will be able to evaluate and respond to patient needs and relay provider instructions.
  • The successful medical assistant will be a team player and respectful of their co-workers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
