GARDENA CONVALESCENT CENTER is looking for LVN's to join our team.

Job Summary:

Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. Maintains workflow and efficiency of assigned nursing station.

Qualifications:

· Current vocational nurse license from CA Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.

· CPR certification required.

· Previous experience in a skilled nursing environment, preferred.

General Staff Accountabilities:

· Employees conduct conforms to the Mission, Vision, Values, and Code of Conduct of Del Amo Gardens Care Center.

· Effectively complies with applicable state and federal laws, e.g., HIPAA.

· Effectively complies with all policies and procedures of the facility.

· Effectively follows all infection control guidelines and instructions.

· Consistently arrives to work on time and as scheduled.

· Maintains required certification/license in a timely fashion.

· Adheres to the dress code.

Job Specific Duties:

· Is knowledgeable of care plan and provides support to the residents according to their care plan.

· Routinely monitors patients’ conditions by assessing their vital signs, noting any physical or mental decline and reporting back to the doctor.

· Effectively administers medications within the scope of practice of the vocational nurse.

· Effectively managers nursing station by answering calls and carrying out doctor orders.

· Effectively and consistently assigns duties and monitors workflow and performance of CNAs and others in assigned station.

· Effectively assists physicians during examinations and procedures.

· Timely answers call lights of assigned and unassigned residents.

· Accurately and timely charts information on PCC.

· Effectively and respectfully provides basic assistance such as helping patients bathe, dress themselves, get up and down, walk, and use wheelchairs or walkers.

· Safely lifts, repositions, and transports residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices, as necessary.

· Exhibits behaviors that is courteous, compassionate, polite, friendly, and respectful towards residents, visitors, fellow employees, subordinates, supervisors, and all members in the healthcare team.

· Effectively performs additional duties and responsibilities as position requires.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
