Job Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the ordering physician.
• Initiates and applies appropriate preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing procedures and techniques. Maintains communications regarding client care with the physician and supervisory personnel.
• Completes, maintains, and submits accurate and relevant clinical notes regarding client’s condition and care provided.
• Observes the client for changes in condition; discusses changes with the client or family/caregiver and reports changes, as necessary, to the attending physician and supervisory personnel.
• Assists the client with the activities of daily living and facilitates the client’s efforts toward self-sufficiency and independence.
• Provides client and/or caregiver education and training as appropriate to promote self-care and continuity.
• Provides medication, diet, and other instructions as ordered by the physician and recognizes and utilizes opportunities for health counseling with clients and families/caregivers.
• Provides and maintains a safe environment for the client.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Licensed as an LPN-C and eligible to practice nursing in the State of Nebraska.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• At least one year of nursing experience in Home Health Care preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment screenings and other professional requirements.
• Currently a licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with Agency requirements and is in good working order. Or has alternative reliable transportation.

Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
