LAB TECHNICIAN Job at Amsted Rail Company Inc
OPPORTUNITY
Amsted Rail has an immediate opening for a lab technician to work on day shift, utilizing test equipment to measure and evaluate the conformance of our product and document results, communicating all non-conformances.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform routine testing of samples to verify conformance to requirements.
- Adhere to sample requirements as outlined by the lab.
- Set up and operate microscopes and additional lab equipment.
- Analyze, document and report test results.
- Input information into SAP software.
- Maintain accurate records and report results.
- Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to receive required score on skills assessment test.
- Basic understanding of computer operation.
- Ability to communicate well with all levels within the organization.
- Prior experience utilizing lab equipment and or quality control is a plus.
