Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions.
- Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Required to attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.
- Meet / exceed assigned branch goals.
- Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance to SFCU policies, procedures, philosophy and standards of performance.
- To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explains services, sets up/close accounts, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people.
- Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members.
- Must be able and willing to work a minimum of 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed.
- Must be able and willing to work at any of our office locations as needed.
- Must be well versed in all credit union products, services and offerings.
- Must be able to work the rotating opening, closing schedule and Saturday rotation schedule.
- Maintain safe deposit box accounts for members and coordinate all safe deposit box key maintenance.
- Issue ATM and debit cards to members and performs notary service for membership.
- Provide assistance concerning Call 24, Access 24, Bill Payer, automatic transfers, direct deposits and payroll deductions.
- Process stop payments; check copies, address changes, check orders and statement requests.
- Authorized to waive fees associated with member transactions but not to exceed $150.00 per member without higher level of authority.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Cross-sells credit union services based on member needs.
- Answer and greet all incoming credit union calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Must take the initiative to assist with problem solving, troubleshooting and provide support in any area of the department as needed.
- Interviews, originates, and processes all member loan applications and notifies members of decisions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills*
- Experience:
- Minimum three years direct credit union experience as a Lead Teller or five years related experience.
- Education / Training:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Job Requirements:
- Possess the desire to accept additional responsibilities within branch operations.
- Possess a highly positive, member-service oriented attitude and the ability to anticipate member needs and initiate assistance beyond duties assigned.
- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
- Accuracy with numbers and attention to detail are needed.
- Must possess professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and procedural expertise in credit union products, services and promotions.
- Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend and stand. May at times be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 15 pounds.
