Investigator in Maryland Job at BLD Forensics, LLC

BLD Forensics, LLC Annapolis, MD 21401

We are looking for a licensed Investigator contractual or retired Law enforcement officer for a full-time position 40 hours/week Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

The duties would be performing investigations of election-related complaints from routine to moderate complex, Identifying and maintaining relevant hard/electronic compliant documents and additional evidence for the examination of complaints, and preparing and presenting reports outlining findings, submitting a recommendation of a sustained or unstained course of action to the division Director for approval.

Minimum qualifications

· Knowledge of Maryland’s election and campaign finance laws, election processes, and procedures.

· Knowledge of research and investigative techniques and standards.

· Ability to interpret, implement, and communicate applicable Maryland campaign finance rules and regulations.

· Ability to identify and gather evidence relevant to investigation.

· Ability to plan, analyze, organize, interpret, and report investigative findings and effectively communicate those findings both orally and in writing.

Education and Experience Requirements

· Graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with a degree in public policy, political science, business or criminal justice or closely related area; or

· Four years of administrative or professional experience in a public program or law enforcement as it relates to the area of assignment; or

· Completion of a two-year degree in business, criminal justice or closely related area, and six years of administrative or technical experience in a public program or law enforcement as it relates to the area of assignment.
