Position Summary: We are looking for an Instructional Designer to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content. You will have the chance to work with subject matter experts to design or adapt the coursework to online learning platforms. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
  • Edits and develops course curriculum and eLearning.
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Creates learning experiences and environments.
  • Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
  • Creates computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.
  • Develops instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
  • Working with subject matter experts and identifying the target audience’s training needs
  • Manages online learning communities.
  • Analyzes, updates, and refines existing online content.
  • Trains instructors, students, and employees on how to use learning technologies.
  • Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, gamification strategy, etc)
  • Applying tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in instructional design focused on the training curriculum, user manuals, and FAQs.
  • Research skills, following the newest trends and incorporating them into the training materials
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Significant experience managing the entire content creation workflow from concept to release with excellent organizational, project planning, and project management skills.
  • Superior writing and editing skills with a demonstrable ability to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable guidance
  • Creativity- ability to think outside the box
  • Articulate 360 Learning Suite
  • Experience using Rise
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
