POSITION: PEOPLE & CULTURE (HR) GENERALIST
GRADE: 105 SALARY: 45,052.40 - 55,189.20 Schedule: M-F 8:30 AM-4:00 PM
LOCATION: 3003 S. Country Club Road Reports To: P&C DIRECTOR
Function:
In this solid People & Culture (HR) Generalist role you will serve as departmental benefits administrator and employment law compliance specialist. You will also assist, as needed, in handling the daily functions of the People & Culture (HR) department including employment recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes sound and ethical human resource management practices guided by the SHRM Code of Ethical and Professional Standards in Human Resource Management.
- Assists staff at all levels through policy and procedural advice and recommendation.
- Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with CFB standards and core values.
- Understands and demonstrates responsiveness to all requests while keeping a service-oriented focus.
- Establishes trust and confidence within the organization by maintaining the integrity and communicating effectively with managers and staff.
- Responsible for administration of full suite of employee benefits in all locations. As needed, provides guidance and assistance on the employee benefit plans. Responsible for administration of existing plans.
- Responsible for accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of electronic, human resources systems, including electronic and paper records.
- Reviews the electronic, human resource system for completeness and accuracy.
- Responsible for managing the electronic, human resources software system.
- Responsible for the on-boarding of new staff members.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field, or 5 years of progressive equivalent education, training, and direct experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in and working knowledge of HR investigations regarding employee matters of all kinds, including policies, workplace disputes, performance matters, allegations of perceived workplace wrongs, or discrimination Proficiency in, or knowledge of, using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Microsoft Word software.
- Course work or working knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.
- Three (3) years clean driving record
- A current and valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current HR Certification – SHRM CP or HRCI PHR is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Paycom HR Software strongly preferred/
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of employee relations administration.
Physical Requirements:
- Light Work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
