HOUSING SPECIALIST

position located in Bedford, MA; however position is mobile providing support to our clients in surrounding communities
The Edinburg Center is seeking part time Housing Specialist within our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) services group.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for assisting Persons Served with finding stable housing consistent with Housing First principles. Evaluates the DMH and Edinburg Center subsidized housing sites and ensures compliance with all state and local licensing/certification requirements and regulations. Coordinates housing searches and completion of paperwork related to housing subsidies. Develops and maintains positive relationships with realtors and landlords in the ACCS catchment area. Develops and implements housing training programs and activities for ACCS staff and Persons Served.
Who You Are:
BA/BS preferred. Minimum of two year's experience working with adults with major mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders preferred. Ability to learn about housing. Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation required.
