About the Role:
If you are interested in contributing to this kind of engaging work, we are interested in talking to you! We are currently looking to add a Host/Cashier to our Café team. This team is dedicated to providing excellent food and customer service to every customer.
This position starts at $14/hour. You will be scheduled for 5.5 hour shifts, between 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
What you'll do:
  • Proactively greets (by name for repeat guests) and interacts with guests within 5 seconds of arrival
  • Assists new guests in kiosk use
  • Provides menu and nutritional information to guests with special dietary restrictions
  • Communicates dietary restrictions to kitchen personnel when an order is placed
  • Compares completed guest orders to guest tickets to ensure accurate preparation and presentation
  • Communicates with guests if there is a problem with the order, make necessary accommodations with the supervisor's approval
  • Organize multiple guest orders to ensure that food is delivered in a timely and efficient fashion
  • Accurately receives orders in person, on the phone, or online, processes payments, and makes the change
  • Accurately processes refunds or voids with management approval
  • Accurately counts cash drawer and receipts at end of shift and performs daily till balance
  • Prepares and maintains beverage stations
  • Maintain stock of condiments, service items
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining rooms, brown bag area, order area, pick-up area and beverage areas
  • Report item shortages to FOH Supervisor or Chef for ordering
  • Reports broken or damaged items to FOH Supervisor or Chef for correction
What you'll need:
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Utah county food handler’s permit
  • Maintain a positive, welcoming, professional attitude in stressful situations
  • Read English and understand menu preparation and nutritional information
  • Able to describe and discuss menu items and nutritional information with guests
  • Read and speak English fluently
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs above head
  • Ability to stand and walk for a full shift
  • Observe dining room traffic to more efficiently navigate to the correct table
  • Communicate and interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and hospitable manner
  • Handle guest complaints effectively and diplomatically; Discern when guest issues need to be taken to the next level of supervision
  • Self-motivated and work independently of supervision
  • Take direction when necessary
  • Outgoing and congenial
  • A High School education is preferred with 0-2 years of working experience.
