Responsibilities and Duties:

• MUST have attention to detail, work efficiently, and be under minimal supervision.
• Must have experience with fiber optic cabling and splicing.
• Must be willing to work extended hours

Qualifications and Skills:

• A strong work ethic with a consistently positive attitude and a high level of integrity and personal responsibility
• 3+ years (s) of experience in commercial Fiber Optic cabling and splicing
• Experience splicing ribbon and/or loose-tube fibers
• Experience with OTDR, OLTS, VFL & Fluke Testing equipment
• Knowledge of how to process test results and create Closeout Packages
• Ability to read and interpret Network Diagrams and/or detailed instructions
• Experience in troubleshooting skills and shows the ability to differentiate the separate components in a given network.

• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
• Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals
• Develop project plans and schedule
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion
• Communicate with customers on an ongoing basis
• Set and continually manage project expectations with the team members and customers
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
• Track project milestones and deliverables
• Create and maintain job files and up-to-date bid board
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation, and presentations
• Issue status reports to the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
• Define project success criteria and distribute them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
• Coach, the mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and subcontractors. Influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
• Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project
• Conduct project “lessons learned” meetings. Issue a recommendation report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
• Comprehends financial expectations and monitors projects for profitability
• Effectively manages procurement of materials through the company PO system
