Our ideal candidate has at least one year prior experience in running and expediting food. They are looking to join a positive, talented team where they can stay for a long time and have a steady, well-paying job, and perhaps even move up into other positions at some point. The Strand House team is truly a family, where we join together to feed and take care of our amazing guests. One of the busiest restaurants in Manhattan Beach, The Strand House offers a very steady income, and plenty of consistent hours. Come be a part of our family!

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to present food professionally/check orders for accuracy
• Deliver food to the proper table in a timely fashion and take additional orders when necessary
• Clear dirty plates and silverware
• Perform any task necessary to provide high quality customer experience, including explaining menu items to customers
• Support both servers and kitchen staff
• Greet guests with a smile and thank them for coming upon exit
• Contribute to team effort. Being a team player above all is mandatory!

THIS JOB IS FOR YOU IF...

• At least 1 year of expo, food runner or serving experience
• Must be able to expedite orders, attend to customers’ needs and possess a strong desire to fulfill the desires of the customers at all times
• Ability to engage in casual conversation with customers without sounding too personal
• Maintain a positive attitude and have excellent communication skills
• Adaptable and are able to thrive in a team environment
• Ability to shift gears quickly and multitask
• Handle pressure with ease
• High school diploma
