Entry-Level Fleet Compliance
Overview
Provide clerical support for fleet programs with a focus on FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance functions. This hourly position will report to the Fleet Compliance Manager.
Primary focus of work
- Aid in obtaining 100% driver qualification file compliance
- Ensure the Company’s documentation for the ELDT program is current and inspectable
- Assist with training functions, training events, and training material
- Conduct data gathering and produce reports.
- Creating and updating databases and reports
- Following up with operations leadership to track down documents and plenty of filing
**No technical compliance knowledge is required to start; on-the-job training will be provided. The ideal candidate has a willingness to learn, a cheerful disposition, strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to be helpful.
Responsibilities
- Gather data for analysis on fleet-related operational and regulatory activity utilizing both internal and third-party source information (FMCSA portal, telematics, in-cab camera)
- Maintain and ensure compliance of Driver Qualification (DQ) Files in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulation
- Assists with DataQ’s inquiries and submissions
- Assist with conducting and processing Background Checks, communicating to hiring managers compliance with hiring standards
- Assists with the development of fleet-related presentations and forecasts
- Maintains safe practices at all times, including accident reporting and follow-up
- Participates in special projects as assigned
- Knowledge and understanding of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and vendors
- Must have organization skills, detail-oriented and the ability to handle multiple priorities to meet required deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail is required
- Ability to work independently in a team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must have strong written, verbal communication, and analytical skills
