Summary of the Role
ERIKS Seals & Plastics is the USA based group of technical companies that serves multiple OEM and MRO industries worldwide. ERIKS Seals & Plastics in Roseville, CA has focus on design manufacturing and selling seals of engineered plastic components, with spring energizers, in addition to existing seal and bearing product distribution activities.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of new products or improvement of existing products so that they meet or exceed customers’ expectations, are market competitive, and exhibit high reliability and performance.
- Designing and executing lab experiments to validate new products and presenting the results in a professional way.
- Actively collaborate with the Engineering Team and Technical Center.
- Collaborating with and technically supporting Marketing, Sales and Operations.
- Collaborate with and support Spring Energized Product Manager in expanding market research and strategy.
- Respond to technical questions regarding application, product performance and installation.
- Contact and evaluate vendors and contractors and manage these relationships during the projects.
- Prepare and present technical reports, participate in client meetings, run workshops and communicate design ideas/concepts to all disciplines.
- Execute projects within budget and schedule requirements.

- Ability and willingness to travel to support customer interface meetings, field testing of prototypes, and supplier visits.
- Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks current revision 3D CAD software including solid models, assemblies, drawings and part families.
- Past ownership of seal designs from concept, improvement of existing or new, through production.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD package
- 5+ years experience with new product development and product design (Polymer Components, Seals, Composites and Systems).
