The CDC Foundation is working with CDC and state and local authorities to provide surge staff to support surveillance, prevention and response activities within the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) program. The CDC Foundation seeks candidates for an EMS Data Coordinator. The EMS Data Coordinator will provide training, access and oversight to local health departments on overdose incidents. The EMS Data Coordinator will facilitate data sharing infrastructure and efforts.

Salary: $55,000-$65,000 with Benefits
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required and master’s degree is preferred
Minimum of 2 years related work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and project management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing timelines
Demonstrated ability to work well independently and within teams
Experience working in a virtual environment with remote partners and teams
Demonstrated knowledge in overdose prevention, substance use disorder treatment, harm reduction, recovery, and/or drug policy
Knowledge of opioid overdose management and brief interventions
Interest and experience with under-served populations
Ability to work effectively with diverse partners and stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom
Preference will be given for candidates with an Oklahoma Emergency Medical Technician (or higher) license.
Responsibilities:
Engage with local health departments to provide training, access and oversight for EMS data from incidents within jurisdiction
Coordinate with local health departments as the primary contact for enrollment for access to data and training end-users on program utilization
Establish framework for data sharing and infrastructure for monitoring data software utilization
Gather and share information with external stakeholders on existing programs and resources to initiate and develop new programs
Assist in development of programs to address community overdose related needs
Participate in team calls related to surveillance efforts
Coordinate and work with diverse groups or organizations and stakeholders, including local and state health departments, epidemiologists and others
Address and create plans for quality improvement

This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and Oklahoma State Department of Health in order to best support the EMS Division in their public health programming.
