Shredfast Inc., a premier manufacturer of document collection and shredding vehicles, is looking for a full-time 12V Electrical Technician to join our team at our main production facility in Airway Heights, WA. This person will work under the supervision of the Electrical Department Team Lead, performing installations, repairs and/or replacement of a variety of electrical components used on our vehicles. Attention to detail and a strong ability to focus are key attributes for an Electrical Technician candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, and test electrical components
• Follow service guides, schematics and manufacturer specifications Perform basic electrical truck chassis preparation
• Assemble and repair wiring harnesses
• Build and install electrical control panels
• Prepare electrical parts and process builds from schematics
• Set strategic goals for the Electrical Department and represent the department in official meetings
• Design and troubleshoot new electrical systems and existing system amendments
• Electrical Department inventory management
• Train to become the primary technician responsible for installing and adjusting mechanical control programming
• Perform quality assurance for electrical builds
• Train new hires
• Gain complete knowledge of production builds including component install, control panel assembly, and programming

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

• 2 years of experience working with 12V electrical systems
• Deep understanding of electrical systems including relay circuits, electrical components, automation, GUI-based programming install and adjustment, and control systems
• Ability to manage subordinates and effectively delegate tasks in a production environment
• Have good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
• Ability to use basic hand tools, drills & air tools

Physical Requirements:

• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, get in and out of vehicles and work on ladders throughout the day
• Must be self-motivated and able to stay on task with good attention to detail
• Dependable transportation required
• Must maintain a clean and organized work environment

Shift Schedule:

Monday to Friday / 7:00am – 3:30pm (non-exempt) for Full-Time position (Part-Time positions also available)
